Don't let the name fool you, Candyland Market is not just a candy store it is more like a "Wonderland."  It's one of the few places where you can still get the ever known "southern hospitality" in southern California (San Diego that is). Located on the corner of 35th and Fairmont, they take pride in their community by offering Mexican products and a variety of fruits and vegetables.  If you walk down the aisle of the this impressive power house, you will see Network for a Healthy California Recipe Cards displayed by items that may be ingredients to the recipe or items that are the results of the recipe such as applesauce.  In the front of the store is a Floor Stand that welcomes each customer that "Fruits and Vegetables are always in season" with available recipe cards to take home.  Owner Roberto Perez said "we take care of our customers" and he ensures that with healthy choices for all customers.  Candyland definitely knows the concept of "A, B, C, D", going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty with excellent customer service, community involvement, and healthy food items.  This market may be small but it is full of heart and good intentions.  Congratulations Candyland for being a wonderful partner!
